VH1's 1oo Greatest Hip Hop Songs…Really?

2pac+mad VH1's 1oo Greatest Hip Hop Songs...Really?
Here is a list of the 100 Greatest Hip-Hop Songs from VH1. I think they confused the word “Greatest” with “Old”. They definitely have some good stuff on here, but they also have a lot of debatable choices. 2Pac’s greatest song is “I Get Around”? I mean I love the song, but 2Pac’s greatness might shine through a little brighter on other songs. And seeing “Regulators” right behind Eve just looks wrong. I’d make my own list, but I don’t think many people would agree with my choice to put Aesop Rock’s “Daylight” as #1.

  • Prudence

I would agree with putting Daybreak on top of the list or at least near the top.

What other songs would be on your tope ten? I hope Tupac and Weezy would have a place up there…

  • Confusion

I need at least a week to figure out my top 10. But Aesop’s got my number one. “Wanna Be A Baller”, “’93 ‘Til Infinity”, “Electric Relaxation”, “Juicy”, “Ready or Not”, something by 2pac, something by Gang Starr, something by Atmosphere, something by De La Soul, maybe some “Rosa Parks”. I don’t know. And I’m big on Wayne, but I don’t know if i could pick one of his tracks to go in the top 10.
