Deerhunter – "Nothing Ever Happened"
I got the Deerhunter album Microcastle a while ago and I was very disappointed. It wasn’t bad, but it seemed so mediocre that nothing really stood out to me. Obviously there is something about it that I’m missing, because it ended up on a lot of “best of 2008″ lists and got very good reviews. I still don’t listen to the album, but there are a couple of tracks that are in rotation. The first is “Never Stops”, which I posted a while ago. The second is “Nothing Ever Happened”.
Sidenote: Is their lead singer Bradford Cox okay? I don’t know much about the dude but he looks like death.

Oh ok…i feel bad now. but Abe Lincoln had that and he did okay, so go Bradford.
I think the album’s cool but I admit I only bothered with it because a. it was on so many best of 2008 lists and b. because I had 15 remaining downloads on emusic and didn’t know what to get. Not sure I would have gone that far without the fan raving.
