So I just got a takedown email. Apparently Crash Kings’ label decided on a “no mp3″ marketing plan. That’s so 2003. Ben from DashGo broke the news to me, but was also kind enough to offer up an mp3 that he thought I might enjoy. I came really close to dismissing to this mp3 like a stubborn toddler who just got told he/she can’t have his/her first choice of toy. But I listened. And I was really happy I did because it’s a cool song. It’s got that acoustic organic indie pop rock feel to it. Let’s see if I can get more specific…um… imagine an Elliott Smith arrangement with Ben Kweller on vocals. It’s like that, kind of. The band is Coconut Records. Check it out.
