Video! Röyksopp – "Eple" Post-It Stop Motion Animation Version

For his senior art project, Savannah College of Art and Design student Bang-Yao Liu has created a stop motion animation video set to Röyksopp’s 2001 single “Eple.” Liu uses Post-It notes as pixels to render the thoughts of a guy as he tries to get work done on his laptop. Yes, it’s a MacBook pro, and that’s tangentially appropriate since Apple licensed “Eple” for OS X Panther.
This clip entitled “Deadline” was first made as an animatic, and then the animatic was projected onto a wall as a template for sticking the Post-Its. Check out the making of:
