LCD Soundsystem – "Bye Bye Bayou"

We’ll have to wait until next year for the LCD Soundsystem album, but this is a nice 7 minute slice of hold-you-over. It’s a cover of Alan Vega’s 1980 track, obviously updated with LCD Soundsystem’s electro disco sound. It still has that punkish attitude that James Murphy effortlessly emits, but the vocals are in a more echoed, airy, whisper singing style than I’m used to.
