New! Vampire Weekend – "Horchata"

Here is the first track from Vampire Weekend’s upcoming album Contra. After a mysterious countdown on the website, the band put this up for download. Contra will be out January 12th. The song has the band’s signature sound, starting off with the simple sound of Ezra’s voice and little accompaniment and building into wild worldly percussion that soon breaks down. And then, of course, you’ve got the strings section to add a nice Vamp Wknd touch at the end.
