Inspired by American country, folk, and blues, Iceland’s Lay Low crafts timeless music with one major difference from traditional American music – that voice. Lay Low is the alter-ego of the singer/songwriter born Lovisa Elisabet Sigrunardottir. She will make her North American debut on March 9, 2010 with Farewell Good Night’s Sleep, recorded and produced in London by Liam Watson (White Stripes, Holly Golightly, James Hunter) at his analog mecca Toe Rag Studios. Check out the video for “By and By” here and grab the MP3 below.
Lay Low has a voice for the ages. Understated, elegant, vulnerable. Pair it with the warm, analog sound of Liam Watson’s legendary Toe Rag studios and you’ve got the makings of a truly timeless album.
