Timbaland ft. Jet – "Timothy, Where Have You Been?"

This is a Timothy song, if ya’ll know about me.

No, Timothy, I don’t know about you. Is that what you call yourself when you want to be taken seriously? Or when you use guitars in your songs? When you’re working with more than one white person at a time? Not sure what he means with the whole Timothy thing, but this is another Timbaland song from Shock Value 2. I actually had a little bit of hope for this song by the sound of the first 30 seconds but it quickly goes downhill and ends up spiraling downward as a bad joke that gets less and less funny. Remember when Timbaland was jacked? Saw it at ATR.

  1. Purplehead says:

The song was part of Jet’s album Get Born, which is dedicated to the lead singer, Cameron Muncey’s deceased brother, who died before Cameron was born. The song with OneRepublic wasn’t so bad. I sort of liked it. But this cover has nothing on the original, you should give it a listen. Timbaland completely ruined the song, especially at the “This is a Timothy song, if y’all know about me” part and all the annoying rapping.
