I didn’t even know about this mixtape until last night when I first heard the heavy hitting “Shine”. Anticipation can be a trap, just waiting to hit you with some major disappointment. Maybe Pac Div knew that if you’ve got the goods, there’s no need to spend weeks leading up to a release talking about how incredible it is (aka marketing). We’ve already seen our fair share of disappointing mixtapes this year, so getting an unexpected one as good as this is rare. Don’t sleep. Pac Div always brings it. I remember hearing Paper by them featuring TiRon back in 2008 thinking they had been around a while when they were just coming out.
