Here’s a couple tracks off Ratatat’s upcoming LP4, out this summer on XL Recordings. Not to sound like a shallow music listener, but I don’t listen to much instrumental music. Yeah, sometimes I’ll act mature and listen to classical or Kind Of Blue and sometimes I’ll relax to some Madlib beats, but most of the time songs without vocals sound empty to me. Ratatat is one of the few acts out right now that can hold my attention without any vocals. Still, when I hear these, my first thought is “I can’t wait for a remix”. I’d love to hear some vocals laid over these beats.
