This isn’t new, but I just heard it recently thanks to LFTF. Beyonce’s younger, slightly more hip sister Solange took on the Dirty Projectors’ song and mixed in the sample from Dre’s “Xxplosive” (originally Soul Man & the Brothers) for a smooth-as-good-vodka cover. She also adds in some crazy “hoo-ooh-ooh-ooh ooh ooh”s that defy the laws of human voice. I tried to sing along and one of my testicles ascended.

This is great. I think this type of cross-genre production is awesome. Especially because her voice is perfect for this song. The high note at the end of the line sounds more stable than the girls in DP too. No disrespect.
