Big Boi might be best known for his funky, colorful joints that bounce like one of those neon rubber balls you can buy for a quarter. But this? This is hard. It’s got a horn filled classical/choir kind of sample backed up with rapid fire ts ts ts ts ts ts’s of the hi-hat. Unfortunately this is the clean version, but it go-oes. If you’re looking for something to dance to and a chorus to sing along to, try “Shutterbug“. This is a solid showcase of strength, like flexing into a mirror while you mean mug yourself and think, “Yeah, I wouldn’t fuck with me.” Not that I do that. *Blasts song, runs to nearest mirror* Thanks to BOBO.
Big Boi - General Patton

Yo i posted my thoughts on this track on my blog, as well as a track by track thank me later review, and a review of Lil Jon’s new Crunk Rock album…Check it out by clicking my name
I like everything Big Boi does but there’s and undeniable difference from Outcast and their solo works. Some will disagree but even in looking through their last album. While Andre’s album work is still engaging and awe worthy, Big Boi’s feel dated. Same goes for his music.
Whenever I listen to Stankonia it still feels as new and exciting as it was when i first heard it in the bus on my way to school.
I know no one here will care about my opinion but my question is when will Andre come up with new stuff??
