Video! Kellee Maize – “Big Plans” & Lady Gaga?
I still have no idea what to think about Kellee Maize. To be completely honest, I don’t get it. She’s a pretty blonde rapper from Pittsburgh. She has a tendency to go in over Baltimore club influenced beats. She has weird alter egos, speaks about spirituality and strange energies that only exist inside yoga classes and drum circles, and she has an army of cult like followers that swarm like vultures around a carcass whenever Kellee’s name is mentioned.
Somehow, this strange firecracker has exploded with a ferocity that I don’t see often. The video above is done by Adam Buncher, the same guy who has been doing visuals for Wiz Khalifa. She’s been spotted with ?uestlove, Cappadonna, and the most recent news is a meeting with Lady Gaga (proof below) which has allegedly led to some talks between the two.
Even as I find out more about her, I come no closer to understanding. Consider this your heads up.

Kellee Maize is a great artist and her music is really unique! Kellee and Gaga would blow the music industry away!!!
Kellee has more to say than your average rapper. She is a unique soul, and obviously Lady Gaga recognizes that. Her music talks about issues our world is facing and how we need to do our part, without making you feel like your getting lectured. She is opening the eyes of the youth, while making them want to dance. In my opinion we need more artists like Kellee Maize!!!
One of the reasons I enjoy Lady Gaga is because she’s unconventional and lives the way she portrays herself through her music– a true artist in every sense of the word. After hearing about Kellee Maize through multiple sites, it’s pretty clear that she’s similar to Gaga in that respect and I think there’s something to be said about such a dedicated artist.
I don’t understand why people are so closed minded when it comes to strong women making a name for themselves in the music industry. Kellee is true to herself and her beliefs, the only people that this negative energy is effecting is those giving it off!
GaGa is a star obviously because she is talented but I think that working with kellee could help her out as well. It would be interesting to see GaGa singing about something inspiring like Kellee and actually being true to herself.
I don’t care what anyone says; Kellee is a great artist! And it’s so awesome that she got to meet Lady Gaga because I can totally see a similarity between both of their music abilities and personal styles. Hopefully some day Kellee can be just as big as Lady Gaga!
Kellee and Gaga together would make an awesome women strong pop combination. Kellee’s unique rhymes and Gaga’s out-there style together will make a pop smash! can’t wait~
I saw one of her videos and I thought it was a joke. It looked like she was trying to be hard but it’s not working. I really want to like her, she’s home town girl but I just haven’t found a reason to yet.

My point: While these are elements that interesting to see collected into one artist, these themes are nothing new to hip-hop. Instead they speak to her influences.
She was seen in pictures with Cypress Hill, MURS, Lupe Fiasco, Jedi Mind Tricks, Ghostface Killa, Pharoahe Monche.
