I haven’t listened to this whole EP yet, but if the project is as good as the few previews suggest, it’s definitely worth checking out. Hit up the comments section and let me know what you think. I’m gonna get into this tomorrow. Credit to NR.

To be honest, when Asher Roth first appeared on the scene, I thought he might fall victim to the “rapper with a gimmick” stereotype, but I think he’s serious about his craft and is developing into a solid artist. While other rappers seem to be taking this college rap thing to a new level, Asher seems to have moved on. Thoughts?

    asher roth left the college rap scene at the perfect time. he did his thing while it was cool, and then he got out of it. i love the direction he’s taking.

    Asher’s definitely stepped his game up since Asleep In The Bread Aisle. I liked his first mixtape, SFG was great and this EP’s pretty good as well.

    I still cant convince some of my friends that he has some lyrical talent, they keep thinkin to I love College. It’s like yeah he did a college anthem so what, give the other stuff a try. This EP has some solid beats and ashers laid back style fits well. I think Chris Webby is a more lyrical white rapper amd Mac Miller is getting that chill music down, but there is still room for ash.

    seared foie gras was dope he held it down but maybe find someone better to team up woth for the rawth ep. asher lays it down but could it be only in comparison his counterpart? ash will be a solid underground artist for years to come….STAY SOLO

    definitely turning into a solid artist..his freestyling is woeful though, you can watch him on westwood on youtube, but he’s still got a long way to go, and he’s got the ability to produce sick rhymes with a sick flow, which some people take for granted. gotta agree with osfeditor, although i have no idea who the people he mentioned are.
