If nothing else, “weird” implies that something different is being done, and in the world of music that’s always a good thing to me. It turned out to be not only a weird and lovely video, but a great song too. The vocals reminded me a little of Hope Sandoval and the sound has a Massive Attack kind of weightiness to it, so naturally it reminded me of one of my favorite songs of last year (which also came with a weird and lovely video).
