Over Swizz Beatz production, Lil Wayne makes a part two to Eminem‘s “Stan” and speaks to his biggest fan. Apparently this one won’t be on the upcoming Tha Carter IV. Nothing wrong with his high-energy spitting or popped out radio hits, but I’m excited to hear Wayne get a little more lyrical. Hearing this and seeing “Nightmares Of The Bottom” on MTV Unplugged has my hopes up.

    i dont think wayne tried his hardest here, uninspired lyrics and naming the song stan pt.2 will no doubt draw comparisons to the eminem version, which this does not even compare to.

    nice beat though, wayne just doesnt sound bothered

    nice flow and nice production. I like the idea but it doesn’t really stack up to em, he’s too distant, but shit feels like a step in the right direction. Hopefully weezys got a couple more songs like this in store

    You gotta realize the difference between opinion and fact. Obviously some people are going to hate this, but it’s clear that there are other people who like it. Just because you’ve got an opinion doesn’t make your take on it “undeniable.”

    I am not posting this to reach a larger audience, I’m posting it because I’m a fan of Lil Wayne and I think it’s worthwhile to keep up with what he’s doing, good or bad. Even if you don’t like this, you obviously cared enough to listen, right?

    When you set a standard for yourself, by marking your song “Stan Pt. 2″, you not only set yourself up to make a sequel, but you’d better have a BETTER song than the first part.

    Anne fails to live up to the goals it sets for itself.

    Stan was a story about an obsessed fan, who kills himself and his pregnant girlfriend after Em doesn’t respond to his letters. Em meant it to call out this sort of obsession, and show how much of a bad thing it is.

    Stan pt. 2 is a story about how awesome Lil Wayne’s fans are, and how he appreciates them because he’s such a great guy too.
