For his latest creation, e-dubble samples the fantastic “Weighty Ghost” by Wintersleep and enlists the help of Kom for verse two. Last time we heard from e-dub was with the fiery “Rebuild,” and while “My  Last Dream” isn’t all sunshine and rainbows, the intensity level is brought down a few notches.

There’s an overabundance of rappers out there casually spitting rhymes that most people simply can not relate to. Listening to that music is a fun escape from our pathetic realities, but sometimes a real connection is missing. I’ve come to accept that I’ll probably never have a Maybach.* e-dubble speaks for the real people with real-life existences.

*I’m saving up for a moped, but once I fill my piggy bank, I’ll probably settle for some used rollerblades.

    He’s a great rapper and the content is a step above the most of the stuff out there. That being said, I don’t like it when rappers sample indie rock songs that I know/love. I can’t get into them without thinking about the original.
