In September MGMT took part in the LateNightTales series and, as part of creating their ultimate ‘late night’ selection, recorded an excellent cover of Bauhaus’ brooding “All We Ever Wanted Was Everything”. And as of yesterday, a Mr Ned Wenlock has made an constantly evolving, slightly trippy and eminently re-watchable animated video to accompany the cover. Maybe I especially like this animation because the grey skies and factory filled city-scapes are clearly depicting England or maybe it’s just the vaguely hypnotic falling snow in the foreground, but whether you hit repeat on the video or not, do yourself a favour and have another listen to an excellent cover after the jump.
