Like a lot of people, I was put on to Kid Sister when Kanye hopped on that remix of Pro Nails, and while her dirty mouthed flow is enjoyable, the most impressive thing for me is her producers and collaborators, who are in the upper echelons of the dance music world. Her impressive run of producers (A Trak, Rusko, Hervé) is continued on this EP as Nadastrom, Sinden and 5kin&bone5 step up to the plate. To top it all off, Danny Brown has hopped on the crunked up, party-starting “Gucci Rag Top” from last years Kiss Kiss Kiss tape. Stream the four track EP below and if you so wish, purchase it.

The most amazing thing about this album is that not one reviewer of this album that I have looked up has mentioned the ethereal-heights of the beat on the track Hide and Seek: bending bass, dynamic melody, and little clicks and clacks that compliment the song so well. My jaw dropped when I heard this song for the first time. I wonder why this hasn’t happened for other listeners.
