Sahab – “11:59″

As any good music snob knows, punk rock is dead. Sahab played in a punk band from age 17 into his early 20’s before deciding to go solo. He purchased some production equipment and made his debut album Scarecrow, and it’s a far cry from anything that could pass as punk rock. Like some background on your artists? Sahab is of Persian descent, was born in Fresno, CA and spent his early years going back and forth between Fresno, CA and Iran.

“11:59″ is the first taste of his album, and it’s got a dark, slightly mechanical feel to it. You could call it indie pop, but that does it about as much justice as calling The Weeknd R&B. Check it out for yourself.
