The song “Sleazy” features verses from Wiz Khalifa, Andre 3000, T.I., and Lil Wayne, who all come correct over the percussive, bass-heavy production. But to me, Ke$ha’s voice is like nails on a chalkboard, and sacrificing four solid verses–especially one by the not-so-frequently-heard-from Three Stacks–seemed like such a waste.
I took my feelings to Twitter and masked them with a joke: “Any way to edit Ke$ha out of her own song and replace with Lykke Li?”
“Lol Confusion, good one!” I thought to myself, about my own Tweet. It didn’t even cross my mind that this would lead to anything, but the internet is a beast of action, and dj.ck took this Tweet as a challenge. The result is a Ke$ha-free version of the new Ke$ha song. The timing isn’t perfect, but Lykke Li’s in, and Ke$ha’s out, and that’s what really matters.
