How appropriate this is. Here we are on Valentine’s Day, premiering a brand new song from our newest love—both in a musical way and a creepy, internet stalk-y kind of way—Meg Myers. We’ve heard the strong, edgy side of Meg with cuts like “Monster,” but for this one she keeps more in line with the theme of the day and speaks on love. But don’t expect something soft and cuddly with cut-out hearts and mushy poems. Instead of the warm and straightforward, “I love you,” Meg douses her feelings with an ominous, predatory vibe through the lyrics, “My love is after you.” I’m okay with that.

megan is gonna be a monster – she has it all. great looks, great songs, great humour, mega coolness and i just love her !!!!!
holy shit, i had no idea she was that gorgeous, i thought with a voice like that she must be flawed. wow that makes her so much better
I kind of don’t like it just because Monster was so emotional raw.
Fuck Lana Del Rey, if anybody should be gettin’ talked about, it’s Meg Myers. She’s beautiful with a nice voice and makes wonderful songs. I fucks with her.
As always, Meg blows me away again on this song. I just can’t imagine any other artist coming close to the excellence of Meg’s stuff in 2012. Monster is my fave, and it’s so damned addicting it’s like hitting the bar for one more repeat, again & again, as if nothing else can exist outside of her voice, her power, her music. Awesome.
@Gina: At first I just saw “Meg blows me” and I got so mad. Flipped over my desk, smashed my fist through two walls, and kicked three coworkers before reading the rest.
