I do prefer the original “Perth” but this is such a cool idea, and The Roots are just an undeniable power house.
Not really into the autotune used on Vernon’s voice but this was a great version of the song. Love the intensity!
I have to say that The Roots are perhaps the coolest thing around right now. The vocals here didn’t do much for me, but the sound they produced together in the middle of the song when you could here the studio version coming through, that was fucking great.
the autotune made it hard to understand the lyrics but it didn’t stop it from sounding amazing. like wow. you can tell they really enjoyed that as well
