Azealia Banks‘ trademark snarling swagger is back with “Van Vogue.” Since splashing heavily onto the hip-hop/dance scene, we’ve made sure to keep a close ear on her youthful potential. “Jumanji” and “Liquorice” showed how can she be diverse but still appease what can only be a very satisfied fan-base. This is classic Azealia Banks though, skirting dangerously close to “212”‘s well-travelled turf. “Van Vogue” showcases her intrinsically charged lyrics and immutable finger-clicking rhythms.
This track is released alongside her EP, 1991, which is out now and available to download on iTunes. Just released in perfect time for those dozy, summer-night barbecues. Work up an appetite below.
