Last night, Kanye West performed the first of his two scheduled shows this weekend at Revel Atlantic City Resort’s Ovation Hall. This was West’s first solo concert since completing both the domestic and international legs of his Watch the Throne tour with Jay-Z.
As seen in the pictures below and videos on page two, the stage setup and format were very reminiscent of Yeezy’s 2010 Coachella set. In total he performed just under 30 hits, ranging from early classics to portions of both “Mercy” and “Way Too Cold.” The musical transitions were also a highlight. At no other concert would you hear Queen’s “We Will Rock You,” or Phil Collins’ “In The Air Tonight,” leading into massive hip-hop tracks. Just another nod to Kanye’s unmatched showmanship.
