No Doubt – “Push and Shove” (Prod. Diplo)

no doubt No Doubt Push and Shove (Prod. Diplo)

Tony Kanal called this song No Doubt‘s ”Bohemian Rhapsody.” The song does have a similarly jarring structure, jumping into sudden changes between verses and choruses, but it ultimately ends up as cartoonish mostly because of Gwen’s over-the-top delivery. Joining up with Diplo and exploring new sounds might have been a good idea in theory but so far, No Doubt’s comeback feels stale.

That chorus is gonna get stuck in my head, no doubt.

This song is F(*%ing dope and that breakdown in the chorus is perfect! Clearly you guys are from the East coast, cuz her cartoony vocals are what made this group. If you didn’t own Tragic Kingdom in Southern California, you were the biggest loser in school. If you don’t like this song, well…

    haha

I enjoy the song as well. P&S is shaping up to be the best pop album from a major studio in 2012. The way the first two songs blend genres is amazing.
