Sometimes, you just need some stone cold player shit. With Snoop Dogg off making pop songs and generally abandoning the fine art of pimpin’ on wax, the door lies open for a player to ride in on his trusty steed–a sky blue ’76 Cadillac DeVille, of course–and save the day. Enter 19-year-old Cali native 100s, whose Ice Cold Perm album comes complete with Doggfather inspired artwork, a bevy of recent and classic West Coast sounds, and an appearance by much buzzed about producer of the moment Ryan Hemsworth. The end result sounds fresh and polished, a solid combination of old inspiration and new energy.
