While not quite as exciting as a real collaboration between Frank Ocean and Flying Lotus, this remix of “Thinking About You”—fast becoming one of Frank’s trademarks in the wake of yet another strong performance at MTV’s VMAs on Thursday—gives a glimpse of what the duo might create if the opportunity ever arose. More of a reworking than a full-on remix, FlyLo pitches up Frank’s vocals, adds some glitchy atmospherics, and slaps a nice subversive title (“Binge Eating Without You”) on the whole package.
