James Franco is a man of many talents. His latest project, alongside musician and friend friend Tim O’Keefe, is a Motown-inspired EP titled MotorCity, which will be released next Tuesday. Our first taste of said record is “Love In The Old Days,” a smooth, soothing song guided by a funky bassline and Franco’s spoken-word that laments a love that no longer exists. Said Franco about the project:
“I’ll tell you this: it’s always weird to talk about a new thing. I know I do a lot of things. I’m very aware of that. I’m sure there are a lot of skeptical people, hearing about me doing music… To me, it all comes from a similar place. It’s like using different tools to express things in different ways.”
Renaissance man indeed. Check out “Love In The Old Days,” as well as the EP’s cover art that features Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson, and Rachel Korine, below.
