Video: Kanye West Speaks On “Cruel Summer”

kanye west1 Video: Kanye West Speaks On Cruel Summer

If you look at the features and production credits (under the video) for G.O.O.D. Music’s Cruel Summer, you know that it was a collaborative effort. That term—”collaborative”—get’s thrown around a lot, but listening to Kanye West talk about Cruel Summer, you can tell the vibe during the making of this project was  not your typical studio session where three guys walk into a room, some shit gets thrown together, and then it gets touched up and sent off to be packaged. In the video below, ‘Ye breaks down how the process worked and how intensely invested he was in every detail.

Watching this didn’t make me feel any better about the mediocrity of the album.

I actually like the album. It’s not mindblowing but I think it’s a solid album with a couple great songs.
