When Chicago duo Wild Belle came out of nowhere with their exquisitely funky first single “Keep You” it was clear that they were adept at combining their favourite elements of ska and reggae with a more modern synth-based sound, and now on “It’s Too Late” we get to hear them in full throwback mode – and that is no bad thing. This a bouncy, soulful jam that swaggers jauntily along before bursting unexpectedly into a full on sax solo. JACKPOT.
