FIDLAR‘s new song “AWWWKWAARRRDDD” will make you cringe because it’s… well, awkward. Featuring British singer/songwriter Kate Nash, this cut is a little different than what we’re used to from FIDLAR. Drugs and rock & roll have been covered with that sort of no holds barred attitude in their previous songs. So this time, the hoodlums tackle love, channeling every character that Michael Cera has ever played (i.e. endearingly lacking confidence).
“AWWWKWARRRDDD” was released to promote their forthcoming UK tour (as you may be able to tell from the artwork attached to the Soundcloud stream below; such fine ketchup-squirting wrist work), so it will not appear on their debut album, due on January 22nd in the U.S. Listen to “AWWWKWAARRRDDD” below.
