We recently counted down the 10 Best Frank Ocean Remixes, and San Francisco’s Kastle took the #3 spot with his rendition of “Pyramids.” Via the power of the Internets, Kastle actually hit the P&P crew about this group Atlas, which recently put out an EP (Cities) on his Symbols imprint. This UK trio consists of two producers (Luke Fantom & Rem Sutton) and vocalist Emily Harris, and they have a distinct blend of electronic sounds and live instrumentation—cool, calm, moving tracks, elevated by Emily’s beautiful voice.
They recently covered Frank Ocean‘s “Thinkin’ Bout You” and all of the emotion is still there, but it’s now equipped with a hypnotic, understated thump guiding the whole ordeal on.
