Apart from a performance at this years Olympics Opening Ceremony and a few other high profile live performances, Dizzee Rascal has been fairly quiet for the past few years. The London rapper hasn’t officially released any new material since 2009’s Tongue N’ Cheek, and that feels like far too long. Luckily, Dizzee’s been working on putting the finishing touches on his fifth studio record, out next year, and we’ll get a taster in the form of a 6 track EP on New Year’s Day. Better still, he took to Twitter today to release a new, free mixtape. Vol. 2 is the sequel to the free tape he dropped back in 2007, and features music from himself and a host of other rappers; P Money, Newham Generals, Bun B and Merky Ace all pop up. Head over to Dizzee’s website, DirteeTV, to download the record.
