Watch Live Footage From Alt-J’s Brighton Music Hall Performance

MTV may not play music videos anymore, but at least the network still appears to have some microscopic interest in what’s going on in the industry these days. To prove it the channel recently aired its “The Big and Best of 2012” year-end special, which featured performances from acts like A$AP Rocky, Miguel, Metric and more.

British alt rock quartet Alt-J also joined in on the fun brining their Mercury Prize-awarding winning debut album, An Awesome Wave, to life during a concert at the Brighton Music Hall. The performance was filmed for MTV Hive’s Live in Boston series and footage from the show is available for viewing below. Miguel certainly enjoyed it, hopefully you will too.

can anyone tell me why pitchfork gave them such a shit review?

  • Monster

I sure can’t. At the same time I generally take their reviews on anything with a grain of salt. They love what they’re not supposed to and hate what they shouldn’t. It generates conversation and stirs up shit. To me that’s a large driving force behind why the publish a lot of what they do.
