Complete with a fedora and a sequinned blazer, Beck performed for a concert sponsored by the Lincoln Motor Company last week. But it wasn’t just any run-of-the-mill performance, and you shouldn’t expect that considering that it’s Beck we’re talking about. Given free reign (there were “no limitations or restrictions), Beck took on David Bowie’s “Sound and Vision” with a 157-piece orchestra conducted by Beck’s father, David Campbell, on a rotating stage. It’s overwhelming in the best way possible, and while it may not sound exactly like the 1977 original, it’s done in such a grandiose manner that you just know that David Bowie would totally approve of this. Watch the performance above.
