Watch Beyoncé’s Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Show Performance

There was some controversy over her lip-syncing the national anthem at the 2013 inauguration, but Beyoncé took on the Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Show with full force. Performing a number of her hits including “Crazy In Love” and “Halo,” and, alongside Kelly and Michelle for the hotly-anticipated Destiny’s Child reunion, a medley of “Bootylicious,” “Independent Women,” as well as “Single Ladies,” Queen B remained the clear focus of attention, even among the pyrotechnics, Destiny’s Child associates, and stage full of lights and dancers.

Right after the performance, half of the stadium’s lights went out, prompting Jay-Z to hop on Twitter for a well-timed tweet showing support:

I am sooo bored sitting here watching the Halftime show. They have this middle-aged thunder thighed chick tromping and screaming amid flashing lights for more time than it took the first half to be played. They need to keep the half time to the alloted 15 minutes. Nobody in their right mind wants to watch more of the loud mouthed screamers than they have to. Its as bad as those grammy,CMA, emmy, golden globe, Toni, Oscar, VMA blah blah blah aint we special shows that seem to go on and on forever.

I am sooo pumped from watching the halftime show! They have this beautiful middle-aged curvy woman stalking the stage like a tigress amongst an intense and impressive light show, it felt short to me! They should have let her come back out during the blackout! And oh yeah, Destiny’s Child is back, I DON’T THINK DAN CAN HANDLE THIS.
