Earlier this month, Bipolar Sunshine’s “Fire” became one of our favorite new tracks. It was one of those striking songs that sounded like nothing else out there—a gentle blend of hip-hop, King Krule-type indie, and a touch of African influence. With “Rivers,” the “bipolar” part of the U.K. artist’s name is starting to make sense. Trading the moody vibes for a more upbeat approach, this new track is more pop/rock, but it’s just as effective.
Bipolar Sunshine’s Aesthetics EP is set for a June 17 release.
