We heard the title track from Portugal. The Man‘s upcoming album, and now we’ve got another new cut from Evil Friends. The album, fully produced by Danger Mouse, is shaping up to be one of the year’s best. Like some of the best production with Broken Bells, “Purple Yellow Red and Blue” is sharp, full, and balances that infectious pop appeal with a less obvious edge that makes it more interesting. Plus, if you like group sing-along choruses like I like group sing-along choruses, it doesn’t get much better than this.
Evil Friends is out June 4. Order it here.
