The Roots Cover Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky” in the Style of Simon & Garfunkel

Jimmy Fallon has been playing a game on his late night show called “Suggestion Box” and last night’s show included a request from this week for “Black Simon & Garfunkel.” So, Questlove and “Captain” Kirk Douglas of the Roots adopted the mannerisms of Simon & Garfunkel circa 1965 to perform a hilarious, acoustic cover of Daft Punk’s sensational “Get Lucky.” The tongue-in-cheek performance begs the question—is there anything Questlove can’t do? Watch the clip above to see the on-point double-edged cover for yourself.

I hope Questlove brings the Roots onstage and does this for the AFROPUNK Festival. He’ll be there this year, among others such as Saul Williams, Theophilus London, Jean Grae, and many more. Not to mention, it’s FREE!

    Don’t miss out!
