Cults Announce New Album “Static”

Cults released their self-titled debut album, a collection of sweetly nostalgic melody driven indie, in 2011, following it up with a whole lot of touring, but no new music. Finally, they’ve announced a follow up, which is called Static and will be released October 15 on Columbia. P4k reports that the album was produced by Cults with Shane Stoneback (who worked on their debut) and Ben Allen (Animal Collective, Washed Out, Youth Lagoon). Watch a teaser video above, which features brief snippets of two album tracks.
