Hudson Mohawke on Jay-Z’s “Magna Carta Holy Grail” and Pusha T’s New Record

With Jay-Z‘s Magna Carta Holy Grail making the rounds, everyone is starting to form opinions, and producer Hudson Mohawke is no different. After the Scottish producer played a role in Kanye West‘s Yeezus, it looks like he also submitted some beats for Jay’s new album, but Jay passed and chose to go with mostly Timbaland beats, also bringing in Hit-Boy, Mike Dean, Boi-1da, Swizz Beats, Mike Will Made It, and a few others. Mohawke shares his thoughts on MCHG and also lets it be known that he’s working on finishing up Pusha T‘s record, which he says will “rattle a few cages.”

Also happening, according to Mike Dean: Watch The Throne 2.

Damn… And this is the last we hear of Hudson Mohawke…

  • justkiddingnobutseriously

Tom Ford and even the sub-minute Versus are each better than all of Yeezus (Though Ye used great samples). HudMo’s just jealous.

are you kidding? even if kanye didn’t have his back on GOOD, he’d still be a popular up and comer in the electronic scene

  • FuckTheWorld

If the shit this dude put on Yeezus is the same shit he tried to get Jay to take for MCHG, I’m GLAD Jay passed on that shit.. Those beats aren’t even fucking beats.. It’s hot GARBAGE.
