These New Puritans – “And It’s Risen”

thesenewpuritans These New Puritans And Its Risen

These New Puritans debuted a haunting new track on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 set this week. “And It’s Risen” is equal parts Thom Yorke and The Dodos, with a dollop of James Blake thrown in for the piano stylings. It’s a warm, uplifting cut that takes a dogleg left halfway through the song, leapfrogging melancholy and landing right in some snare-filled sunshine.

The English rockers released their ethereal Field of Reeds last month, but it sounds like they’re in no mood to slow down. Stream the rip of “And It’s Risen” below

The piano lead and Thom Yorke like vocals are infectious. Very colorful and seemless key change from C Major to G Major once the drums kick in. Good song!!
