After the overwhelming success of Chance the Rapper‘s latest mixtape Acid Rap, he’s been on the fast track to full fledged stardom. Another step on that path is the release of his latest video, this time the visuals accompany his poignant song “Everybody’s Something,” a track that reminds of the worth every human being inherently has.
The video follows Chance rapping through a series of maps and neighborhoods reflected on the 20-year-old’s silhouette. Directed and edited by Austin Vesely, the visuals also include painkillers, selfies and footage of important historical moments flashing across his face throughout the clip. The end is also slightly different than the tape version, featuring extra piano on the outro. Watch below.
