We have a complicated relationship with covers. Sometimes they can be brilliant re-workings that make us see our favorite songs in a whole new light, or faithful renditions performed with love and respect for the source material. And sometimes they can be like this. Awful, bizarre, embarrassing, or just plain ridiculous. So, if you're reading this and thinking of making an acoustic cover of Wu-Tang Clan, or a heavy metal R.
