In this day and age, new albums don’t officially come out unless they’ve been offered as an advance stream at least one week ahead of their formal release. In keeping with the spirit, MGMT has partnered with music subscription service Rdio to share their forthcoming self-titled album through the site’s new Optimiser feature. With it fans will be able to enjoy “an immersive audio and visual experience,” designed to pair the new album with a visual accompaniment selected by the band themselves.
The widget below offers a short preview of all 10 new tracks on the album. You will need to either sign in or register for a new Rdio account to access the complete advance stream. MGMT is out next Tuesday, September 17 via Columbia.
