Chromeo continues to bring the noise with a new album around the corner. Today they introduce “Sexy Socialite” into the world, a funk powerhouse following on the heels of title track “White Women” and “Over Your Shoulder.” White Women is already getting the inevitable comparisons to Daft Punk, but while Chromeo is certainly in the same modern disco camp as the robot legends, songs like “Sexy Socialite” are the best argument for the different sounds that can come from the genre.

Featuring percussion from from ex-LCD Soundsystem drummer Pat Mahoney, “Sexy Socialite” features cowbell, call and response, and that glorious Chromeo falsetto. Stay tuned in the next couple of weeks—the band will appear on Jimmy Fallon October 29 with “special guests.” Stream “Sexy Socialite” below, then check out the trailer for White Women.
