Over the years, we've shared a few guides on how to get your music posted on blogs, and we've decided to compile the advice. Since Pigeons & Planes started in 2008, a lot has changed in the world of music blogs, but even more has stayed the same. It's still entirely possible to get your music to spread online, but with low barrier to entry and more and more aspiring artists catching on, the competition is at an all-time high. Hiring a PR agency or signing with a label is one way to get heard, but before that happens, it usually takes putting in some work of your own. If you can build up a following on your own, your value increases exponentially. The most common way to make that happen these days is by getting music blogs to support. All you need is a computer, some music, and Internet access. Here's a guide to getting your music posted on blogs.

Yoooo, let me tell you something. I don’t do music, but that “Spell the site’s name/name of writer correctly” — I blew a good chance because I messed up a person’s name. Triple check the messages you send, guys. Seriously.
