Can you hear it? That steady buzzing that occurs when Lorde’s name pops up? If you don’t, it’s only because it has become so commonplace that you may not even notice it anymore. Since the release of “Royals,” singer has taken the music world by storm and it’s a hold that’s only bound to get stronger. This week her hit single reached the Billboard Hot 100′s coveted top spot, replacing Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball.” And at just 16-years-old (almost 17), it’s a feat that makes Lorde the youngest solo artist to top the US charts since Tiffany in 1987. Upon hearing the news, Lorde appropriately tweeted:
