Video: Kanye West – “Bound 2″

After much anticipation, the video for Kanye West’s “Bound 2″ from Yeezus is finally here. Premiered on The Ellen Show, the visuals starkly contrast with those of “Black Skinhead,” with “Bound 2″ featuring some stunning shots of Mother Nature and Mother of North West/Mrs.West-to-be, Kim Kardashian. The two tightly hold onto each other while they ride around the Grand Canyon on a motorcycle for an overall romantic affair. Watch the video above.

UPDATE:¬†Watch the full “uncensored” version of the “Bound 2″ video.

Ehhhh, not the best effort he’s done. I get that minimalism is a theme with this album, but… nah, son. Like, if I had to develop a video treatment, I think I would’ve had Kim and Kanye play archetypal high school sweethearts, like the jock and the cheerleader, and show the progression and difficulties in a relationship leading up to parenthood. And maybe that would’ve been too expensive, but I just would’ve wanted something with a bit more of a narrative like his videos before MBDTF.

that’s so boring and unoriginal wow

  • Crunch

too expensive lol. Yeah, those MBDTF vids were the shit. Unlike Mr. Tony here, I think that high school idea could’ve been cool. As long as Mrs. West remained topless tho

Kanye continues to tstay at the top of the news feed in his own way. Applaud him. He’s getting the word out about himself without radio and without premiering his video on the traditional channels and avenues. S/o to Ellen for keeping her composure with Kim all naked like that on screen. You know Ellen would tap that if she had the chance lol

    oh my Yeezus. Kimmmmmm.

I like the minimalist videos better. Narratives get cheesy n played out n predictable. Ye was creating emotional scenary to be paired with the lyrics n i think he did that very well bc this is beautiful.

Like this video isn’t boring and unoriginal. It’s like that Mariah Carey/Miguel video with cheap National Geographic stock footage. wow

I know a lot of people are not feeling this video, but I personally feel this is a highly artistic video that conveys a lot of different emotions and fits well with the theme of the song. Like others have said, minimalism isn’t appreciated the way it should be.

blah blah he’ll be successful regardless, that we know…but really people, you’re reaching at the bottom of the barrel to compliment this video… I thought it was lackluster and unfulfilling because it was.

“hey you guys, remember that video for bound 2?” …”No.”

This is memorable, and ballsy. Who else in the mainstream would have even come up with this kind of idea for a video. those scenes were the motorcycle is rocking them and theyre in sexual positions. . .wow. Come on, this is dope.
To speak to the one dude’s idea of high school sweetheart narrative type thing, i dont think that works with this song because the whole notion of it is not having a life-long love but rather finally coming to a place where you find someone and realize that you need love. Almost like right on time, or just before it was too late.
“so just grab somebody, no leaving this party with nobody to love. . .bound to fall in love.”

“YO KIM, I JUST GOT A GREEN SCREEN AND A MOTORCYCLE, COME HERE”

  • Michael Charles

Not as good as Ray J’s video.

    love it.
